Taylor Tomasi Hill, Moda Operandi's artistic director + former accessories director for US Marie Claire, has the kind of apartment that I could only dream about: it's in New York to start with, but then there is the fabulous use of colour, maximised to breathe life into the all-white walls; plus the decorative mix of quirky vintage pieces.
But what makes me love Taylor's unique style is her design philosophy that she describes as "a little bit of everything...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but that's what makes it fun". Yep, I have to agree, the fun part about decorating is experimenting and discovering your own style...
Is that shoe collection not amazing? What are you loving about Taylor's apartment?

I love the playfulness of the space!
ReplyDeleteYou sure are in the mood for colours these days ;-)
ReplyDeleteHonestly I felt it was just a bit over-styled for the photo shoot but I have a big crush on the rug and the two white chairs in the living room.
Great photograph framed behind the bed - the whole placed is packed full of personality!
ReplyDeleteI like those three rustic vases in the living room and most of all I love how Taylor looks in that photo: the composition of that image is gorgeous! xo

I can't say it's something I'd choose, but it's certainly very personal and very much her and I love some of the details - wonderful source of inspiration! x
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and her shoe collection is pretty snazzy.
ReplyDeleteThe shoes... just wow. The whole apartment is gorgeous! xo
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like Taylor Tomasi Hill and her outfits, her styling etc the more sad I am to say I wouldn't feel well in her space at all, although it is stunning.... The skull on the table is still okay but the little chicks on the tray together with decorative bottles of alcohol is over the top.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I like best is I would never ever create a home like hers, aka it's very unique and personal. I wouldn't like to live there but I appreciate looking at it! :)
ReplyDeleteI especially love the Arthur Elgort picture of Stella Tennant diving in to the pool framed above the bed, an iconic image and it looks so perfect there. Glad Will likes it too, great taste as always ;)
ReplyDeleteHer sitting area with the sofa, chairs and the blue rug looks beautiful. I think its great she experiments and it shows in her interior, its a good way to find out what you eventually feel most comfortable in. But I feel like there's a little bit too much experimenting going on... Her shoes collection makes me jealous though!
ReplyDeleteOh wow...she is so super creative you can tell. I feel like it seems to fit her...love that shot of her! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the dining room! Everything looks very cool in this apartment, Taylor is very artistic and she is obviously not afraid to show her true colours, I love that!
ReplyDeleteWhy am I not surprised that it is so fabulous! It's a perfect reflection of her style. I love it! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI like all the plants; if I lived I New York I'd want some indoor greenery too!
ReplyDeleteI love those dark stained floors and that rug in the sitting room. Beautiful armchairs too.x
