The perfect cup of tea

Hi lovelies! This past week my sister and I have been busy preparing a high tea to spoil our Mum on Mother's Day this Sunday. We haven't thrown a proper high tea before so planning the menu has been fun. We have so far planned to bake this, these + these - yum!

Because I'm not a big tea drinker myself, I need to master the art of making the perfect cup of tea, so I plan on following these simple instructions...

How are you planning to spoil your Mum on Sunday?

  1. Rachel, those mini pies look delicious. It sounds like you'll have a lovely afternoon tea. We'll be participating the Mothers Day Classic Walk/Run in the morning and then visiting mum for afternoon tea with some cakes and pastries. Walk it off, then eat it back on! :)

  11. Hi Rachel,
I love this post. Your pictures are beautiful. I am having my mother (and family)over for dinner this Sunday, but after reading this I am considering changing it to a tea party. It sounds so lovely. I'm sure your mother is going to love it! Can't wait to hear how it turns out. Take lots of pictures : ) Now I think I'm going to make myself a cup of tea...for real...

  14. I'm a big Afternoon tea fan and have a series going on my blog for nice places to visit in London and Paris. I love the how to serve tea list and being British, I completely agree that milk comes first. Loving this post!

We celebrate Mother's Day in March however, I love the occasion of it all. Last Sunday, my mother and I went for afternoon tea at one of my favourite hotels - it was so decadent and fun!
