Interiors Inspiration {Delightfully French}

My love for French interiors is well known on this blog, so I am quite excited to share with you today the home of Laurent Papaix and David Toto, who began their renovation mission with the intention of bringing classic French charm into their Toronto home.

The bathroom and powder room are the stand outs for me in this beautifully renovated home. I love the vintage style bath and wash-basin, stripe treatment of the walls; and the chandelier over the bath is fabulous!

Welcome to a brand new week lovelies! I don't know about you but I am counting down until the long weekend coming up for Easter - 4 days off in a row will be fabulous.

I made a wonderful blog discovery today and am excited to share with you the beautiful Spanish blog Dream Homes. 

This gorgeous French home featured really stood out; I adore the contrast of the white against the beige walls and the carefully selected bold features used to fill the room, adding to the uniqueness and character of the space. 

You can tell that the apartment is an older style which has been beautifully renovated - the French glass doors and the architraves in the ceiling are a giveaway! 

Simply stunning.

So French, So Chic

France has to be number one on my 'places to visit' list. There is something incredibly alluring about everything French - the people, the fashion and especially the interiors, which instantly conjure up dreamy and romantic-like images in my mind. So, I really couldn't resist dedicating a post to French interiors.

Decorology

French decor is so pretty and feminine yet so elegant and ornate. The base colour palette is generally quite pale and muted, however bolder colours are used as accents to really highlight certain features. Patterns are common as are the details on furniture draw knobs and handles which can be quite fancy.

Even if you don't want to go out all French, some smart accessories such as mirrors, chandeliers and flowers will give a room a definite French inspired feel.
