Rosie Huntington Whiteley for US Glamour & some exciting news!

With Spring only days away now this gorgeous editorial, set in a lush garden setting and featuring English beauty Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, has me longing for the sunshine and warmer days ahead...


It has been a crazy few days around here with so much happening! We finally sold our apartment which is super exciting, but now we are in full house-hunting mode, desperate to find our perfect next home! With Sydney's rental shortage finding the 'perfect' apartment is proving a slight challenge so I am trying to keep an open mind and not be too discerning. 
The most exciting news however, was that last weekend, just before we officially sold, we were thrilled to find out our apartment appeared in an editorial feature in the Sydney Morning Herald! I have to scan in the pics but I will share them with you very soon.

Wednesday Workspace {pretty, lovely}

One of my favourite blogs, Rodostina from 79 Ideas, has just finished her first work as a stylist for Cosmopolitan magazine in Bulgaria & I was completely blown away when she shared the feature.


Each month Rodostina has a page dedicated to creating tips on how to make homes prettier and cozier while not spending much - now this sounds like pure reading bliss for me! 


I absolutely adore how pretty this space is; the ladder used to create vignettes, the lettering, the mini artworks hung on the wall with wooden pegs are all the loveliest touches. Take a peek at the rest of the feature here.

Colour crush {yellow & navy}

The weekend is almost here & I can't wait. It's the first weekend in a long time we have no plans which is lovely. I'm very much looking forward to spending time catching up on reading a growing pile of magazines, taking leisurely walks with hubs and Charlie and of course visiting your blogs!


On a side note, right now I'm seriously crushing over the colour combination of yellow and navy. I love how they make such a sophisticated statement when paired together, don't you think?

Wednesday Workspace {Jenna Lyons}

New York Magazine published a feature on Jenna Lyons, creative director of J.Crew which allows a peek into her world and her lovely workspace. 

I adore Jenna's style and J.Crew is one of my favourite shopping destinations so I was not surprised to see that her office is pretty incredible.

Jenna's inspiration wall takes up one whole wall and I love it!

Photography inspiration {chez jolly}

I made a lovely discovery this week when I stumbled across Etsy shop Chez Jolly, specialising in beautiful travel photography. Chez Jolly has the loveliest collection of prints with a special focus on Parisian life and stunning architecture.

I love the blue and white colour palette of this gorgeous work space. I'm quite partial to pure white decor, and these elements - especially the floorboards - combined with the cerulean blue window shutters make such a fantastic statement, don't you think?

Dining Spaces to Inspire

Before I share with you the pics for how our apartment turned out, I first wanted to share some of the rooms that helped to inspire me, starting with the dining room today.

From these spaces, not every style or decor choice from each room has been adopted, but each of them has an element or subtlety that has been incorporated....

Our space is all white, glorious white. I can't resist pure white walls!

I adore Tolix chairs and knew that I had to incorporate them somehow; problem being, I also love Eames Wire chairs and Wishbone chairs...

I'm also quite partial to cow hide rugs...

If I had to describe the style of our dining room I would have to say chic, modern eclectic with an industrial edge.

I love mis-matched furniture and creating interest by adding one or two quirky elements...

So lovelies, like? love? What would your perfect dining room look like?

Wednesday Workspace

I was instantly drawn to the beautiful light and brightness of this workspace. I adore overall neutral colour palette of the room and love the idea of displaying artwork on floating shelves. What's not to love with the gorgeous Frenchie adding the perfect amount of cuteness to the room?

{august style}

Hello lovelies, happy August! The weather has been so lovely here the past few days, really bringing Spring early which has been a welcome change.


Our open house was a success on Saturday so fingers crossed that we have a keen buyer soon. I will be sharing with the photos of our apartment over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned for the posts!


Here's what I'm loving this month...

{one} The new Royal Doulton range from Donna Hay is gorgeous; loving all of the whites and blues.


{two} I just bought this Tory Burch iPad case and love it already. It has an inside pocket with space to stash papers and is   beautifully lined with suede.


{three} Diptique are my favourite candles; the high quality scent is long lingering and I can't resist the packaging. This pretty Rose scented candle is a new mini limited edition and so cute! 


{four} Now that I can feel Spring on the way I'm starting to plan wardrobe essentials for the new season; I thinking maxi pleat skirts will feature heavily. ASOS have some great well priced maxi pleats like this one.


{five} Anna Spiro's incredible online store opened last week and is filled with nothing short of amazing goodies. A few favourites include this gorgeous love heart cushion; pretty decorative silver boxes & fabulous lamp shade & base.


{six} I can't get enough of statement rings at the moment and couldn't resist this Roberto Cavalli Elephant ring!


Oh and has anyone else been watching The Renovators? I've been getting into it now they have all won the keys to the houses. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds!
