Camilla Freeman-Topper :: Modern French Glamour

I recently stumbled across the home of Camilla Freeman-Topper (one half of Aussie label Camilla + Marc) and loved everything about the modern French look she created, which oozes nothing short of glamour.

Her clever mix of traditional French provincial themed pieces with colourful and overly feminine touches give her home an incredible sense of warmth.

Evidence of Camilla's artistic flair is everywhere with elements like the graffiti mirror and bold artwork creating eye-catching focal points.

The stand out for me has to be that divine velvet vintage couch and I do love this idea of stacking magazines too.

Here's how to recreate Camilla's style....

Would you consider this style for your home?

Introducing Summer Style Series :: Part 1 {decor}

Hello lovelies! Melbourne Cup day unofficially signals the start of the festive season here in Aussie-land, so its fitting that I kick off the brand new Summer Style series today.

With the help of some fabulous bloggers who will be sharing what Summer means to them over the next four weeks, I hope to inspire you to start the new season armed with ideas for creating an unforgettable Summer.

So allow me to introduce you Abbey from Gild & Grace with the first instalment of the series, who is going to share her decor inspirations for the warmer months...

***

Hi there, Abbey here from Gild & Grace. I'm very excited to be here at Little Bits of Lovely bringing you this guest post about great Summer decor! For me Summer decor is all about breezy whites, airy open spaces and bright pops of colour and pattern. Think Hamptons classic meets Palm Beach fun - all blended into a relaxed yet sophisticated finish by India Hicks....

Here are my decor style essentials for the summer season ahead:

Thank you Abbey for this gorgeous post. I'm already dreaming about endless Summer days at the beach; bbq's and cocktails!

A City Apartment with a Dash of Country

Inner city living and apartments go hand in hand, so learning how to create inspiring interiors when space is a challenge is a must if you want to enjoy the fabulous life of the city.

When I spied this apartment over at Classy & Glamorous I was instantly smitten by how beautifully it had been put together; but couldn't help but notice the apartment had a distinct country flavour, despite it's inner city trappings...

The clever use of white throughout the apartment creates a fabulous illusion of space. The fact that the apartment is filled with light is an added bonus!

I am in heaven with the 'country feel' of the apartment; the floral touches, white wooden furniture and lovely textures all give the sense that you could be in a country home, but no, this is city-living!

How quaint this this kitchen? Smally but extremely functional with loads of storage. I love the white oven with the country-style timer; such small details add to the overall country-inspired feel of the apartment.

How is your week my dears? I am so thankful that the weekend is only one more day away!

Oh So Lovely: Blue Inspiration

Hello lovelies! Welcome to the second post of the brand new weekly feature Oh So Lovely.

I have been struggling through my first back week back at work since holidays and trying to maintain a state of zen calmness for as long as possible. So fittingly, I thought I would dedicate a post to blue inspiration given that blue represents feelings of calmness, contentment, gratification and being at peace.

I am in love with this duck-egg blue velvet couch, it really adds to the overall French inspired decor of this living room. My favourite find of the week so far.

Hopefully you are feeling rather zen yourself now too :) Have a fabulous day!
