Friday Fashion Notes

Happy weekend lovelies! This past week has been super hectic with work, hence my lack of post yesterday, so this weeks' Fashion Notes are on Saturday instead.

The Armani Spring 2010 couture collections were shown this week so I thought I would share some of my favourites with you - enjoy!

{Interiors Inspiration} Atlanta Bartlett

Eclectic, creative and joyous three are words that come to mind when looking at the portfolio of interiors stylist Atlanta Bartlett. I love the distinct country flavour and the way she has used different textures to create a lovely and homey feel. I also don't mind that everything is not perfectly symmetrical, which normally bugs me!

If you love Bartlett's style as much as I do, check out her online boutique store, Pale and Interesting. The store specialises in furniture, accessories, jewellery and books all chosen or designed by Atlanta and her husband, and is "inspired by their love of the functional, beautiful and out-of-the-ordinary".

{Interiors Trend} Subway Sign Art

According to House & Home, one of the 10 hot new trends in 2010 will be subway sign art.
Well, I would have to agree after seeing how awesome it can look.

Friday Fashion Notes

Happy Friday and welcome to the weekend! To start the weekend are my fashion picks for the week...

 

 With the Golden Globes on, there was a flurry of fashion excitement, but my favourite look of the evening was Ashley Olsen in Erdem at the after party - stunning!

I also adored Zoe Saldana's Golden Globes dress. The colour perfectly complimented her skin tone and the ruffles, oh the ruffles - love.

Carmen Kass for ELLE Russia. LOVE the Dior Jacket.

Street-style to perfection. The shoes, skinny jeans and over-sized sunnies rock my world!

This weekend husband and I are beginning the search for our very own apartment, which is super exciting! I can't wait to have a place we can call our own and decorate/renovate until it is just perfect.

{Interiors Inspiration} Summer Beach Houses

Hello lovelies! I hope you are having a good week. My week has flown by so fast, which is good, because it means its now not long until the weekend.

One of the best things about Sydney in Summer time is spending weekends at the beach and enjoying the glorious weather that the city is famous for. It's hard going to work everyday and staring out the window at clear blue skies...Sigh. I made a wonderful discovery today on the Style Me Pretty blog, when they featured the wedding video of photographer Jessica Claire. The video was so beautiful I got all teary!

I went off and checked out Jessica's site and was amazed by her portfolio - it is no surprise she is considered as one of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World! Jessica specialises in weddings, but also does a lot of portrait work as well.

Happy Friday! Thank goodness the weekend is here. I'm looking forward to sleep-ins, catching up with some good friends seeing the Lovely Bones - which I have still not seen yet.

I am in love with this duck-egg blue velvet couch, it really adds to the overall French inspired decor of this living room. My favourite find of the week so far.
