2011 Favourites {top 10 red carpet}

Hello hello! How was your Christmas lovelies? I hope it was wonderful and you got the chance to spend time with those you love. 


I had a beautifully relaxing few days seeing my family and am now about to head down to the south coast for a sea change, some fresh air and plenty of sunshine!


Before we bid au revoir to 2011 and welcome 2012 with open arms, I want to take a look back and remember the amazing moments that made this year memorable. I'm starting things off today with some of 2011's more dazzling moments: the top 10 red carpet looks...

Diane Kruger wore Jason Wu, Fall 2011 to the Met Ball, 3rd May.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore Burberry to the 'Tranformers Dark of the Moon' London Premiere, 26th June.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore Gucci to the 2011 Moscow International Film Festival “Transformers: Dark Of The Moon” Premiere, 23rd June.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely in Naeem Khan at the Transformers 3 European Premiere, Berlin, 25th June 

Gwynneth Paltrow wore Prada at the 68th Venice Film Festival 3rd September.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely definitely dominated the red carpet this year and has firmly positioned herself as being 'one to watch' for her incredible sense of style. No doubt we will be seeing a lot more of Rosie in 2012!

Street style inspiration {the classics}

I'm loving all of these streetstyle classic looks. Wardrobe essentials this season for me will include black tailored shorts, a denim dress, a midi pleated skirt, and of course, ballet flats.

With Christmas only a few short days away things, I don't know about you, but things have been crazy busy around here, so by the time Friday afternoon rolls around I will definitely be looking forward to the holiday festivities to begin!

French Farmhouse Christmas

Welcome to the week before Christmas lovelies! I hope you have been enjoying holiday festivities over the weekend, whether it be decorating your tree at home or attending a fabulous party!

happy {almost Christmas} weekend & lovely links

It's the weekend before Christmas and there is still so much to be done!

 It's my Mum's birthday, so tonight I'm cooking up a celebratory feast and then tomorrow hubby and I are off to celebrate with friends at a couple of Christmas parties. Tis the season!

Let's hope the weather plays nice and the sun comes out; its been a bit of a gloomy summer here so far, but I'm still hopeful the sun will make an appearance.

Holiday decorating projects

One of the reasons I am looking forward to the holidays is that I have a whole lot of decorating projects I'm hoping to start. One of which is a gallery wall in the bedroom, above a little nook I created. I've ordered all of the prints online, so now I'm just waiting for them to arrive!


I've also been playing around with how to position them all, so I thought I would share this with you today.

I love Garance Doré and her chic style. Not only is she incredibly fashionable, she is also a talented illustrator and photographer and I love reading her blog which includes anecdotes into her often very glamorous life.


I've a few of her interviews and she always comes across as being real and attainable - much like her style - and possibly why so many people feel like they can relate to her.

Happy weekend friends!

With Christmas only a few weeks away I really need to get into gear and start crossing things off my to do list. I always feel so much more productive when I write lists; do you feel like that too?

This weekend we will be seeing our extended family for a pre-Christmas get together and doing some Christmas shopping. 

To save time, I am buying all of our gifts online, which I highly recommend; thank goodness for online shopping!

Wednesday Workspace {feminine chic}

 

I can never resist the combination of feminine chic and black and white, so I was excited when I came across the the workspace of illustrator Bernadette Pascua and fashion photographer, Andrew Stinson, who reside in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

So much to love about this space - the glamorous lamp, the black and white photography and the Victoria ghost chair.

Love her style {giovanna battaglia}

I've had a style crush on Italian former model, and current freelance stylist, Giovanna Battaglia for a little while now. 

Whilst her style would be defined as fashion forward {Giovanna is not one to shy away from risks}, she always looks extremely chic and elegant. 

Giovanna quotes her fashion icons as Audrey Hepburn and Italian actress Monica Vitti and I can definitely see how these women have influenced her unequivocal, fabulous sense of style.
